A local resident at Wintringham Aged Care Nursing Home, Cheryl had a bucket list request that her Recreation Worker thought the Moonee Valley Racing Club might be able to help her achieve. After contacting the Club, the MVRC put plans in place for Cheryl to visit on a raceday and to meet a Clerk of the Course horse as per her request. Cheryl suffers from Huntington’s disease, a disease that causes the degeneration of nerve cells in the brain and while her mobility is limited, that wasn’t going to stop her ticking off another item on her list and we couldn’t have been happier to oblige.
